Committees

 

The standing and ad hoc committees of the Dayton Arab-American Forum are defined in the DAAF Constitution. Please email secretary@daaf.org if you are interested in joining a committee.

  • Newsletter Committee
  • The Newsletter Editor and Newsletter Committee publishes at least four newsletters annually
     
  • Program Committee
  • Each year, devise and plan programs for the following year
     
  • Membership Committee
  • Charged with the task of increasing the number of members; reviewing and approving new membership applications; nominating individuals for honorary membership; and publishing membership brochures
     
  • Finance Committee
  • Meets immediately after the annual meeting and presents a budget for the fiscal year
     
  • Auditing Committee
  • Annually audits the Treasurer’s accounts at the close of the fiscal year and reports its findings to the Board of Directors
     
  • Nominating Committee
  • Consisting of three members, presents a slate of nominees for the positions on the Board of Directors
     
  • Ad Hoc Committees
  • The President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors, is empowered to establish ad hoc committees, and designate representatives as it deems necessary, to further the work of the association
